While spring and summer provide breathtaking views outside in Arizona, this month you can also catch some incredible landscape and floral portraits in the comfort of the climate-controlled Ottosen Gallery. “Return to the Desert: Celebrating 25 Years of Paintings by Dyana Hesson” is a retrospective by Hesson, who considers herself a Botanical Artist. Some of her most iconic oil paintings will be on display alongside new pieces at the Desert Botanical Garden through May 22, 2016. The exhibit is included with the price of general admission, which is $22 for adults 19 to 59, $20 for seniors 60 and over, $12 for students 13 to 18, and $10 for children 3 – 12.
How to Catch Hesson’s Colorful Cacti and Other Work
Hesson’s artwork takes a closer look at the many plants of the desert climate, including orchids, cacti and other regional plants. The artwork focuses in on both the unique palette and intricate details of the colorful desert landscape.
The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., through May 22, 2016 in the Ottosen Gallery at the Desert Botanical Garden. Admission to this exhibit is included in the price of admission.
